Oslo Airport Gardermoen
Oslo Airport Gardermoen is roughly 50 km north of Oslo, and there are a variety of options for getting to the city centre.
- The Airport Express Train Flytoget goes six times an hour and gets you to Oslo Central Station in 19 minutes. Three of every six departures continue on to Asker via Nationaltheatret Station, which is the station after Oslo Central Station (a total journey of 25 minutes from the airport). Nationaltheatret is Hotel Continental’s nearest station, only 100 metres from our front door. The fare is NOK 170 * from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Nationaltheatret station. Directions from Oslo Airport Gardermoen by car
Follow the E6 towards Oslo for approximately 40 minutes. Drive through the Vålerenga tunnel and then the Ekeberg tunnel. Continue until you enter the Festning tunnel, then take the turning towards “Oslo Sentrum Vest” inside the tunnel. On exiting the tunnel, take the first right into Dronning Mauds gate. Turn left at the roundabout and drive up Haakon VII's gate. Then take the second right up Munkedamsveien. At the traffic lights, turn right again and drive down Stortingsgaten. Follow Stortingsgaten for about 100 metres, and you will see Hotel Continental on your right.
Moss Airport Rygge
There is an express bus service from Rygge Airport to Oslo Bus Terminal. The journey takes about one hour. If you would rather take the train, there is a free shuttle bus from the airport to Rygge station.
Sandefjord Airport Torp
The bus company Torp Expressen runs a service from Sandefjord Airport Torp approximately 30 minutes after every Ryanair and Wizz Air arrival. The bus stops at Oslo Bus Terminal, and the journey takes roughly one hour and 50 minutes.
Directions from Sweden by car
Follow the E6 towards Oslo, crossing the border between Sweden and Norway at Svinesund. After about an hour and a quarter, you will drive through the Nordby tunnel. After the tunnel you will see the amusement park “Tusenfryd” on your left. Keep to the main road, which becomes the E18 towards Oslo. Inside the Festning tunnel, turn right towards “Oslo Sentrum Vest”. Then take the first right into Dronning Mauds gate. Turn left at the roundabout and drive up Haakon VII's gate. Then take the second right up Munkedamsveien. At the traffic lights, turn right again and drive down Stortingsgaten. Follow Stortingsgaten for about 100 metres, and you will see Hotel Continental on your right.
If you arrive by car, you can park in the hotel garage by prior arrangement. There are also several 24-hour car parks near the hotel.
