General conditions for groups and events
The following conditions are valid for all groups and events at Hotel Continental and Continental Banquet & Conference (hereafter HC / CBC)
1. Guest lists
For overnight guests, the final guest list must be received no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
2. Reduction of events
The below chart state the maximum reduction which can be made without a fee, should the number of guests/guest days be reduced from what has been confirmed. A penalty fee is calculated on basis of the full value of the reservation. The rates which have been agreed upon are binding for both parties. For events for which the menu has not been decided, the basis for the calculation is NOK 600 per person for dinner events, and NOK 300 per person for lunch events. Rent of premises is additional.
Please note that in the below chart, there is a distinction between conditions for accommodation (Acc.) and banquet- and conference events (Events).

For banquet- and conference events, the exact number of guests must be advised no later than at 1200 hrs the last workday prior to the event. Later or not advised reductions will be subject to full charge.
3. Cancellation of events
The below chart is applicable upon full cancellation of the event, and states the fee accordingly. A penalty fee is calculated on basis of the full value of the reservation. The rates which have been agreed upon are binding for both parties. For events for which the menu has not been decided, the basis for calculation is NOK 600 per person for dinner events, and NOK 300 per person for lunch events. Rent of premises is additional.
Reservations for more than one event, for example daytime meeting, then with a following dinner event, will be considered a separate event in relation to our reduction- and/or cancellation policy.
Reservations for events lasting more than one day, each day will be considered a separate event in relation to our reduction- and/or cancellation policy.

*) If the total number of guest days is less than 10, all rooms can be cancelled until 1600 hrs the day prior to arrival.
4. Time of conclusion
If the premises are needed past the agreed time of conclusion, this must be clarified separately with CBC. Use past the agreed time of conclusion will be debited with NOK 1000 per started hour.
5. Flexibility
CBC reserves the right to change premises, should there be a change in number of guests and/or time of the event.
6. Payment
Payment is to be undertaken in cash or with a valid credit card upon departure, unless otherwise agreed.
7. Credit applications
Credit must be agreed and approved in advance. All applications will be subject for a credit rating. The credit amount is invoiced upon departure and is payable per 15 days net. The invoice fee is currently NOK 100.
An invoice will not be issued for a total amount below NOK 15.000.
8. Deposit
HC / CBC reserve the right to request a deposit.
9. Guest bills
The event organiser is responsible for all accumulated and unsettled costs, including the instances in which the guests are to settle their expenses individually.
10. Damage
The event organiser is responsible for economic coverage of any material damage caused
HC / CBC by any of the events’ participants.
11. Force Majeure
Incidents which are uncontrollable to HC / CBC (for example, strike, lockout or fire), will entitle HC / CBC to cancel the agreement without liability to pay compensation.
